WISEID Separate Fields for Legal Name and Preferred Name
WiseID really needs to have a place for legal name/gender from a birth certificate and then preferred name/gender for a student. This needs to be 2 different fields. The change requests and comments are getting super confusing because not all districts are submitting data the same way.
1 voteWe plan on changing the Change Request process later in the fall so that first name, middle name, birth date changes have the originating district verify their district-accepted documentation. Once the documentation is verified the Change Request will no longer need to go to review by other districts. This should resolve the Change Request-related concerns you have. Currently some vendors do have the ability to collect both legal name/gender AND preferred name. Then have an option in your district system to choose which will be sent to DPI in WISEid/WISEdata. Check with your vendor documentation or support to see if you have them already.

Error/Warning
Hi,
I am getting error 7193 for an online school (JEDI), and we will not be submitting roster data for this school this year. I just wanted to provide the feedback that I wish this were a warning instead of an error. Or potentially have it as a warning for virtual schools.
Thank you!

Sub-District/Diocesan Dashboard
It would be helpful for school systems that host multiple schools, to have one dashboard that contained the data, exports, Validation Messages, etc., for all schools at a glance. An example of this would be a WI Diocese that hosts several schools across the State. These school systems often use a sub-district configuration in their setup.
To have one diocesan dashboard that contains all schools at a glance would be very helpful.4 votes -
Error notice that not included in Snapshot
Is there any way to add in Wisedata a notation that explains or designates if the error is in beta testing or relevant to the snapshot? I had sent to my special ed team all the special ed errors late last week and over half were not relevant as I heard back from Skyward that they were not collected in this snapshot.

School Roster Details - Sort Roster Alpha
On the School Roster Details page, it would be nice to be able to be able to sort the students listed on the roster by last name (or any column). In our SIS, the rosters show up in Alpha order by last name, so it would be a lot easier to compare.

Alphabetize School filter on School Roster Details tab
When you go to the School Roster Details tab and click the Schools filter box, could the results in the box be alphabetized? It looks like it currently shows in the order the school was uploaded and it would be easier to find schools alphabetically.

Student Demographics Export - Enrollment Status
Good morning! Is it possible on the Student Demographics export to add a field that indicates whether the student's enrollment is ACTIVE or INACTIVE as of the date the export is pulled? If not, we can just cross-check, but it would be helpful. Thanks!

Information Banner for Known Validation Lag Time Issues
Hello! If a known issue is happening on DPI's end with a delay in validations, could there be a banner that pops up across the top? It would save having to put in a ticket for something that is known. Thanks!

Hide Vendors/Credentials from the pipeline status page that are no longer active
Either hide or indicate in a highly obvious way that a Vendor Subscription / Credential is no longer in use (Based on the Credential Time Frame Settings) on the Pipeline status page. The school staff is confused/concerned that WISEdata is connected to the wrong Sis during the transition phase from one vendor to the next. Believe it or not it also actually increases confusion about which SIS to be operating in for a particular year.

Mass Add Tags
AASD loves the ability to apply department tags to errors and warnings! One person monitors the entire database and each department just filters the tags to narrow the list to just those they need to look at. It would be nice if we had the ability to mass assign tags. I was thinking maybe a way to check boxes next to specific errors/warnings (or select all) and then an option pops up as to which tag to use.

Vendor LEA Monitor Data - Exclude Acknowledged Warnings.
The LEA Monitoring tool provided in the Ed-fi Credential application Is great, however, it is difficult to prioritize contacting customers with support when acknowledged L2 validation messages are included in the message counts. Either only Unacknowledged warnings should be included at all in the counts. Or two counts should be provided: unacknowledged and acknowledged.

Drop Out early warning (Error 6726 as a Warning During School Year)
Transition Error 6726 to a Warning during the school year. This would be helpful for smaller districts and for districts that would like to track students who depart their districts. With Error 6726, we aren't notified until it is too late to find students if they fail to transfer to another district. Thank you for considering.

Grade/Grad Year on CTE Exports
It would be nice if the exports pulled the student grade/grad year, particularly for CTE exports. That way when reviewing the previous SY data, we would know if the students were juniors or seniors, particularly for the follow-up CTE report.

Add dual credit and ap courses to the rigor decision flow chart on the courses data element page.
This was suggested by Marci Waldron-Kuhn at CESA7. Case#:CAS-197244-C1N7N5
I have districts that would like more clarification on course coding regarding advanced or enriched and honors.
What would the DPI like dual credit courses and AP courses to be coded as: 1) Advanced or Enriched or 2) Honors? It would be nice to have dual credit and AP courses added to the decision flow chart
