So that these differences do not cause duplicate WISEid's. Perhaps additional aliases should be created with common substitutions for characters outside of A-Z and a-z.

We do prompt for an Optional message during the Denial on the screen. We will poll users if we should require comment.

Attempts at trying to get this to work did not pan out, unfortunately. As of 10/5/17 will put on our list to reexamine if the latest development date tools can resolve this issue.
An error occurred while saving the comment Jeffery Post commentedWe like this idea. However we are not finding good technical documentation for programming it. What applications are you using that work this way now?

The tricky part is that some Schools support this character and others do not. so dpi would need to come up with an approach to allow for schools to send them while maintaining the ability for schools that do not have accent character support to find and not duplicate existing WISEid number using only none accented characters.
One idea would be for WISEid to store two versions of names, one with the accented characters and one without. (The Other Names field could probably do this).
a procedure like to one provided here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/18123501/replacing-accented-characters-with-plain-ascii-ones
would need to be used when a name is uploaded or added to w WISEid record to automatically create a non-accented version of the name
