let you enter dates as 02021955 instead of 02/02/1955 and then it would convert it

Attempts at trying to get this to work did not pan out, unfortunately. As of 10/5/17 will put on our list to reexamine if the latest development date tools can resolve this issue.

In Alio you can enter the date as 01012015 and it will convert to 01-01-2015.

We like this idea. However we are not finding good technical documentation for programming it. What applications are you using that work this way now?
