Change Reporting Deadline
After attending the Skyward Conference the past two days & listening to my cohorts, I would respectfully ask that consideration be given to extend the reporting deadline. Many people are relying on attending the WISEdata conference Nov. 12-13 and this severely interrupts our working abilities to submit in a timely manner. I myself have not even begun, as I am working on ISES reports. Any consideration would be appreciated. Thank you.
The Reporting Deadline for WISEstaff has been extended to 11/25/2015. More information will be posted to the WISEstaff welcome page within the application

Appleton feels that based on the email just recieved requesting verification of last year's data in survey format due November 5 and the snapshot due November 6 and the complete report due on the 16th - we would request at least a one week extension. With the bugs in the system and the late staff development opportunities/trainings are not beneficial after the report needs to be submitted - Also, due to overuse of the DPI system we are experiencing delays in retrieving data allowing us to work on the 1202 report - Thank you

I would also like to see an extension for the due date. I am not attending the DPI conference because I have limited days to work on the staff report. I am attending the WASPA conference to hear Mark Schwingle speak but that will be after the report is due. If he brings up anything we should know, it will be too late. Thank you for considering.

We would also like to see an extension. With new staff in both HR and Payroll in addition to ISES and WSLS duties we are stretched very thin. We will be attending the conference on the 12th-13th and would appreciate the extra time.
Thanks -

I would also like to see an extension. I will be attending the conference Nov 12 and 13 to get more information and this does not give alot of time with other regular items that I complete as well including payroll. Thank you for the consideration!

I received this comment in an email:
I would like to see an extension because the due date is unreasonably close to the ISES due dates and review dates, as well as some lunch due dates. As we stated at the last WiseData conference, many of us in the local districts are responsible for multiple areas and reports. For me it is virtually all state reporting, including, but not limited to, lunch, Open Enrollment, Student Count, ISES and Staff. Additionally, I have responsibilities such as transportation, that can easily dominate my time for the day. As of today, I have not been able to spend any significant amount of time on WiseStaff (or lunch reporting), because ISES and transportation have been demanding my attention. I realize this is also a local issue, but could DPI recognize this, and spread these due dates out a bit?

I'd like to see the deadline extended also. I'm attending the WASPA conference on November 19th & 20th. Mark Schwingle from DPI will be facilitating a Wise ID report (1202) session. What good will it do us to participate in this session AFTER the report is due? I want to do everything possible to ensure that the report I submit is correct at the time I submit it.

I would like an extension to the WISE Staff report also. I have not started the report yet and I am still contemplating attending the conference. If there is no extension, I feel I should stay at work to finish the report. I understand that DPI has their deadlines also based on this report; however, an extension would help us provide better and more complete data.

I agree that an extension would be very appreciated. I am also from a small district and and responsible for completeing the ISES reports. I have not had a chance to start looking at the WISE Staff Collection. It would be great to have more time after the WISEdata Conference to complete the report. Thanks for your consideration.

I would love to see an extension for the Fall Staff Data Collection report. I plan on attending the WISEdata Conference in Rothschild on Nov. 12 & 13 and would like to be able to have time after that conf. to complete the report. While realizing that this is new for DPI, therefore bugs in the system keep showing up, it is still difficult to navigate with the changes that keep arising; I would feel better having more time so I can do a good job on the report rather than just "throwing it together" willy-nilly. I have not been able to start the report yet; we, like many other districts in the state are very small and those of us completing the report are also responsible for several other reports, etc. with deadlines. Thank you so very much for your consideration.

I would agree and request an extension. I won't be able to attend the Wisedata conference as it
falls at the same time I am putting a monthly board packet together. I've already missed a few of the Monday sessions...I realize there are notes out there but finding dedicated time to work only on this report is difficult. Any consideration to our requests would be much appreciated!! Thank you! -
Thanks for this Idea. It is a bit early to be considering extending the deadline. There is a significant amount of manual work that goes into the WISEstaff collection both at the schools to submit the data and at DPI to audit it. the schedule is attempting to keep all of that work in balance with reporting deadlines.
