Provide a tool so that districts can look up where a particular student is currently attending school.
From time to time we receive record requests or information for former students. We need to pass them along to the district the student is currently attending. In today's fluid society, that district may not always be the district that we initially sent our records to when the student withdrew from our district.

Scroll bars
Is there any way in WISEdash for District that we can have the screen fit the computer screen. You have to use 2 different scroll bars to see the data. It is really hard to work with.
8 votesUnfortunately, this is how the product works. However, there is a workaround that can help. If you pop out the details page via the More Info widget, you can then view the column headings while using just one set of scroll bars to navigate the content. See screenshot below.

New Report for WISEdash for Districts
Is it possible to generate a achievement gap report (under Advanced Analysis) that incorporates all tested grades in addition to individual grade level reports?
6 votesAt this time this is not something we are able to do.

Hello-Thanks for connecting with DPI and for your request. At this time we feel that the current design meets the needs of our users specifically for snapshot preparation. Each snapshot “topic” has its own set of requirements and relevant data elements that needs to be reviewed so it would not be valid to combine all of them into one. In addition it would be very large and overwhelming to review. If you have something specific or different that you were requesting please let me know. Thanks!

When I click or hover on the log off button - I need a Secure Home Option (like everything else)
When I click or hover on the log off button - I need a Secure Home Option like the other applications.
1 voteHello! Thank you for your request. Since WISEdash uses a proprietary vendor product and is not build internally we do not have as much control over some of the features. At this time we are not able to modify the Log Out dropdown but hopefully knowing that the icons are in the footer to quickly jump between secure applications will help. Thanks!

NWEA MAP testing
For Districts that include a a common local ID or add the WISEID to their MAP rosters, can the results be speeded up to import the MAP data into wise dash? I know it gets imported after a while but could it be imported and posted faster?
1 voteHello! Thank you for your request. MAP results are loaded on a set schedule each year. We receive one file each time for all districts that have results for us to load. Our plan in the future is to change the way we load this data (instead of loading files to the WISEdash Data Warehouse we have started working with vendors to load data directly to WISEdata from the vendor via API technology) which will speed up the load. Thanks!

English Language data reporting feedback
Our English Language Team recently brought this to my attention that there are duration of EL reporting data that would be beneficial to be able to pull from WISEdash for Districts.
1) Data request for "Newcomer" and "Long Term" ELs in the ACCESS Filtering tab:
"Newcomer" English Learners was defined as students who have been in EL services for less than 1 year.
"Long Term" English Learners was defined as students who have been in EL services for over 5 years.
Neither of these are select-able options but my understanding is that these are terms that are set by DPI.…
1 voteOur internal EL workgroup discussed this request and has decided NOT to pursue these elements at this time. Though such elements could be useful to districts there is simply not consensus between states on how to do this.

Add detail results to ACT Graduates
Provide the same level of score reporting as available for ACT Statewide results.
1 votePer internal discussion we will not be moving this work forward at this time.

Ability to group by (or filter for) open enrolled status
I would like to compare open enrolled test data with resident test data.
0 votesWe talked about this internally and recommend creating a student cohort (https://dpi.wi.gov/sites/default/files/imce/wisedash/pdf/groupmanagement_guide.pdf) for this analysis. At this time we only have 3rd Friday Open Enrollment in the data warehouse and Open Enrollment is changing frequently this year due to the pandemic. Cohorting will be a better option for current analysis.

Remove demographics from student lists
When drilling on most dashboards, the resulting student list shows several student demographics to the left and more pertinent values to the right requiring scrolling to the right to view. It would be better to move these demographics to the right of the pertinent values or remove the demographics altogether - they really aren't very important for most users.
0 votesWe need to keep the demographics in because they are relevant for analysis. Unfortunately moving them around is not something we can customize within the product.
