It would be helpful when viewing discipline exports if the student name was also included. It is very time consuming having to look up the WISEid #'s to find out who the student is.7 votes
This is already in production for Discipline Action and will release in Production for Discipline Incident on 2/13/18.
Hi there! There is a type in message code 6464. The 2nd Actual is spelled wrong.
Message Code: 6464 - Actual Attendance and Possible Attendance are missing. If the student have no acutal or possible days of attendance, then submit 0. If attendance exists in your local SIS, then contact your vendor to determine how to submit attendance via the Wisconsin extension of the Student API resource.
Not trying to be picky - just letting you know!

Short and Long Descriptions of Rule 6464 have been corrected in production.
It would be very nice if the student name could be included on the Discipline Incident export instead of just the WISEid.1 vote
Sorry, meant to say release to PROD is planned for 2/13 or 2/15. Thanks.
On the School Year Filter can you include the beginning and ending year. It is confusing to know if 2017 is 2016-17 or 2017-18.17 votes
This was released on 11/7.
Is it possible to make the School Type and School drop downs on the Data Quality Metrics and Export Data pages to be in the same order on both pages? It's a small thing, but having them reversed on either page messes with my autopilot brain.1 vote
This released 1/30/18 to production. Good change. Thanks for the input.
When navigating to an individual student detail screen all validation messages for that student should be visible immediately when the page renders the first time. Currently, sections must be opened manually to see the active validations messages, I occasionally miss validations that are hidden in collapsed sections lower in the page because I thought all of the messages needing attention wherein the first panel.1 vote
Icon indicating validation messages are present when control is collapsed will release with 2/13/18 PROD release.
Add the RETENTION information to at lease the Mass Enrollment Export. Actually, any information that DPI is collecting from us should be able to be exported by us.2 votes
User Story 78155; will release 11/21
Discipline Errors: On the main error message screen, the Action ID is listed for a student. When you select the DETAIL and get switched to the next screen, the Incident Identifiers are listed. We have to look at each Incident Identifier to find the Action ID that is listed as an error on the previous screen. Is it possible to include either the Incident Identifier on the first screen, or the Action ID on the 2nd screen? Some students have multiple records and it is time consuming to figure out which record is in error.3 votes
This will release with our 2/13/18 release.
Is it possible to not deploy releases just prior to snapshots that would identify new errors? It is counterproductive to try to clean up all of your district errors and then the Friday before the snapshot find out that the release has identified hundreds of more errors without the time to clean them up and without any DPI support on a usergroup weekly agenda phone call to work through them.1 votecompleted · AdminJeffery Post (Customer Services Manager, Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction) responded
DPI will make every attempt to make sure that validation messages are not being added to the system prior to a snapshot deadline that are unrelated or do not assist with the immediate deadline. However, DPI may in the future discover additional data quality issues that will require new validations to be released prior to a snapshot to aid in the improvement of data quality for that snapshot..
When completing a Student Detail Search and opening a student detail screen, I would like to see all enrollments for the student, not just the year that I am filtered to.4 votes
This feature was released in October. In Student Detail > Enrollments panel, you can see a link at the bottom now indicating ‘Prior Year Enrollments’
On special ed errors, we would like to request that the actual school name is listed under the school column on the validation messages instead of the district. This will allow our non-instrumentality charter schools to identify their errors more efficiently.8 votes
For 17/18 we began requiring vendors to pass School id on SPED records for so 17/18 this is resolved. For 16/17 you’ll see errors without school because it wasn’t required.
Can you put the "green hovering date" on the Data Quality & Validation page?1 vote
This is complete.
Would be great if ethnicity differences between schools could be a warning NOT an error. This can change from school to school for various reasons. Thank you.16 votes
This is done and has been in productions since late Summer.
After submitting information/uploads it would be nice to run a validation to see results on demand instead of waiting for DPI.
Allow districts to run their own validations.44 votescompleted · AdminJeffery Post (Customer Services Manager, Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction) responded
Deployed to production on 3/28 open the WISEdata Portal Data Statistics panel. Click on the Queue Validation’ button.
Have error codes linked to ACTUAL how to fix instructions.27 votes
The KBA article links are on the majority of error messages and are added as new rules are rolled out or gaps are found.
Would be great to switch between applications easier. I work on WISEstaff, WISEid & in the WISEdata portal. Would be much appreciated if I didn't have to log into Secure Home each time.33 votes
This is now in Production.
Would love to see a timestamp on the student data screen of the last time the student data was changed/updated by a ed-fi transaction. This would be helpful in determining if the change we made in our SIS actually went through a validation. We make changes in the SIS trying different things to try to fix errors and are not sure always if that change was processed in time for the validation. Also would let us know if the particular change we made did not cause a ed-fi transaction.18 votes
This will release on 2/13/18. You will see a create and modified date under Student, Student Enrollment, Special Education, Programs, Academic Record and Discipline. Create/Modified dates are also present when you click on the Ed-Fi API link within those same sections.
Not to generate an error when the transfer district enters a different ethnicity or hyphenates last names. A warning that we could acknowledge seems more appropriate.30 votes
This was completed. All WISEid/WISEdata mismatch ERRORS are now are WARNING. This was implemented in our 2nd July release.
There seems to be no easy way to export the errors and the corresponding students the errors are attached to. The ability to export this information would be helpful when trying to clean up errors. I've been expanding each error and using the "printkey" tool to print this out so I have something to work with.42 votes
This will release to production 11/21 (Tue) only with new Student Detail Search function to return only students with errors, warning or errors and warnings.
I am suggesting that the student's enrollment/withdrawal dates be added to the "Data Export - Attendance and Enrollment" report. Currently it looks like the "Count Inclusion for 3rd fri sept" column is blank for students who either WD before the 3rd Friday, or enrolled after the 3rd Friday. But this makes it difficult to identify "problems". For example; I have 4 students who enrolled on the 1st day of school and were present on the 3rd friday count date, and who have a "blank" in the "Count Inclusion for 3rd Fri Sept" column. To identify/audit I need to look at each student who has a "Blank" in the column. This is very time consuming.
