Attempts at trying to get this to work did not pan out, unfortunately. As of 10/5/17 will put on our list to reexamine if the latest development date tools can resolve this issue.
Make comments required for a denial of request, please16 votesunder review · AdminJoshua Roy (Product Owner, Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction) responded
We do prompt for an Optional message during the Denial on the screen. We will poll users if we should require comment.
Can you put a help button (?) next to each button? It would help tremendously.
Also, put the order that work is to be completed at the top - left (before person). Every time I enter this program, I am at a bit of a loss on what to do next, in what order.15 votes
Updating a person should be done by an active district and require confirmations from other active districts via inbox messaging
Updating a person should be done by an active district and require confirmations from other active districts via inbox messaging.
Active reporting districts should be able to update any information, but it should be held in limbo until all other active districts with conflicting information "Accept" these changes via a home screen message in an inbox within the application. - no calling unless to remind someone to go into the app and accept changes
DPI then has ability to override, but no need to manage individual changes.14 votes
Students with two last names are frequently duplicated. Some districts might have used one or the other last name instead of both. Other districts might have last names in a different order. Another district might put a dash between two last names while another might use a space. Better matching criteria would help eliminate duplicates.
Please work on a way to help identify students with two last names correctly in WISEid.9 votes
Notification about duplicate reports being approved or denied to requesting agency. As they would need to know if the change went through to correct their SIS information.9 votes
I used to find it helpful to search a student by their first name and birthdate only to make sure I am looking at all possibilities for a match. For example. if a student has two last names and I don't enter them in the right order. Or if a parent enrolls their student with a non-legal last name. We just had our Human Resources person discover that she requested new WISEids for young staff members because she didn't know their former last names. At least if you have a match on first name and birthdate, you could check further to see if it could be a real match. Thanks.

Allow all of the following characters to be submitted and displayed in a person's name fields: Refrence: http://www.asciitable.com/ Decimal values: 65-90, 97-122, 128-154, 160-1657 votes
Ability to separate students that automatically match but are different kids. Or for the system to look at more fields to match information before automatically grouping them under the same WISEid.
We have students automatically matching to students from other districts due to their first name, last name, and date of birth matching. It is causing errors for both districts since they end up with the same WISEid imported back into the SIS.7 votes
Next steps. I think that we need more directions or information under each category. Example. I have uploaded my csv file. Then, I went to results and downloaded the new/comment filled csv file back from the State. I tried to clean things up and resubmit. I am now down to zero errors, but 4 potential match issues that I need help with. Instructions would help. Thanks.7 votes
We have on our product roadmap to vastly integrate help documentation and tooltips into our product during the summer of 2019.
When looking at the errors returned from a file:
(1) the count is a count of persons with errors, not the error count; maybe this is ok, but it wasn't what I expected
(2) to view the errors I have to click on every single person which is very tedious if there are hundreds...

I suggest the WISEid system lists "Comments" chronologically, with the most recent comment, at the top of the list instead of the bottom.
It is natural for our eyes to go to the top of the list looking for the most recent event. I feel that anywhere there is a list that includes dates, the newest item should be listed first.4 votes
created ticket for the Assignment Code List to make the option to sort by position and area names vs codes.
The match review is cumbersome and time consuming. Madison has over 300 to review, it will take a long time to to do this.4 votes
The CSV upload allows only for one alternate name. As we are making this initial loads, we have several staff with multiple names. Our only options are to load multiple files to get all names or do some work by hand. We may decide to only enter the 2 names.

Students with 2 different items to approve/deny. Separate WISEid alert for each specific "item" for approval/denial.
I often receive WISEid alerts for a single student that have two items in a single alert. Example: One line item is a name difference; Another line item is a race/ethnicity change.
I would like the ability to approve or deny a single line item.
The issue is that the District may need to Approve one of the line items and Deny the other line item. This option is not available; a District can either Approve ALL line items or Deny All line items.2 votes

If you also have WISEdata Portal access we allow you to see the last two enrollments for a person in WISEid when you search for a person and expand the details for the results of a person. We also show the past 2 enrollments during the Match Review process to help determine if you have the correct person. Please let us know if the last two enrollments are enough for you in the comments. If you don’t have access to the WISEdata Portal please contact your district’s DSA to get access.
Add the pop-up telling you there is change requests to the "WiseStaff" portal just like the WISEid ones shows1 vote
I would like to have an email notification automatically generated (or an option to check a box to receive it) after a WISEid upload completes. Often, especially during busy times, we are #15-20 in line. It would be nice to receive an email that the process finished so we know we can go back to it.1 vote
Suggestion-the WISEid status bar
Would it be possible to make the WISEId status bar larger and appear more in the middle of the page to make it more noticeable?1 vote
