Name Changes in WISE Staff
When a staff member changes their last name, it would be nice to have an easy way to change it in WISE Staff.
8 votesWe now have an Edit button in WISEstaff Staff Edit page that takes you directly to the person to make edits to name and demographics.

WISEid enhancement to Requesting/Dependent Agency
I would like to see an enhancement to the WISEid for Requesting Agency and Dependent Agency to be listed alphabetically rather than by LEA #. Most users do not know (or care) what another agency LEA # is, they want to find the agency in a quick and fast manner, hence alphabetically.

Last Enrollment Information History
In Last Enrollment Information, it was helpful to have the movement of the student all the years in school? Right now you can only see the Last Enrollment Information. It helps me as a Registrar, especially when the parents don't tell you all the schools the students have attended and trying to get records. It helps at the High School level with suspicious expulsions as well. The movements tell you things and seeing them is helpful.
2 votesWe have had this for about a year. To see in WISEid you must also be set up in WISEdata Collections Portal with access. If you have then the enrollments are visible in the Search Results and Match Review if you expand the details for a person there is a section Enrollments that shows last 2 enrollments for that person.

One Match Request Per WiseId
If a student is already on the change request list, don't add another request. Match on WiseId
4 votesLast year we changed the system if there is a pending change request and a new upload creates the same Change Request no new change request is created.

Match Review
The match review is cumbersome and time consuming. Madison has over 300 to review, it will take a long time to to do this.

Error Help
It would be helpful to know what data fields are missing when getting this error message upon uploading a file to WISEid: Unexpected Data in File Detected. Please Verify that the File Has Complete Rows of Data Before Attempting to Re-Submit.

A filter is now available to filter on Staff vs Students.

Differentiate Contacts - Student/Staff
For WISEid "Contacts" we should probably be able to select a Primary/Secondary and Generics for each area... Student/Staff. Right now, there is no way to determine what group a contact works with. If not fixed, this will be very confusing when trying to reach someone. Thanks!
1 voteIn today’s release of WISEid (9/22/16) you now have the ability to mark contacts for Student records, staff records or both.

Instead of requiring birth city, make it optional.
Birth certificates do not always give the city of birth. Many birth certificates only list county. Requiring this information means creating additional records be kept because the annotated birth certificate should be what is on the birth certificate, not what you verbally ask a parent.

URGENT Training on WISEid Student Application Process & Expectations
I was startled to find out about the impending change from the WSLS to WISEid system for student tracking. While I have heard whispers of info, finding out about the need to exit students this July and enter into a new process and system is concerning at this date and time. I would respectfully request that trainings, videos or conferences be made available to us who work within these systems every day. At a District level not only do I need to learn the student side of the application( I have worked w/ WISEstaff) I now need to learn, understand…

Entity # Duplicates
Suggestion from Oshkosh Area School District: In addition to the Report Duplicates for WiseId's we hope to have a Report Duplicates for Entity #'s - we had 2 cases recently that had the wrong number & could not fix or report the errors.

Creating a New WISEid
Suggestion sent in by River Valley School District:
When creating a new WISEid, it would be helpful for the WISEid # to display after all information is entered and saved. Currently, I have to re-search for the person to get the ID#. (Unless I'm missing a step somewhere) Thanks for considering an update.
3 votesWe added the WISEid to the top of the Edit Person page awhile back. So now at end of completion you return to Edit Person the WiSEid is showing before the persons name.

Missing Entity IDs
Please add the ability to update/add Entity ID's that are missing. Currently the only way to fix for a few is to upload another person file which is a lot of work for only a few missing records. Thanks.
7 votesWe have ability now to request Entity ID changes in the WISEid and WISEstaff tabs one person at a time. We also have ability to search ELO for the correct person.

I am not sure who this should go to - so please route. I think that the report submission went so much better this year! When everything is 100% the way it should be, it will be very easy to use. I also liked being able to print out the report for my files. Thank you for the hard work.

It is probably on here somewhere but could you add a link to the WI DPI WISEdata discussion community on Google? Maybe under the help tab? I had trouble finding it this afternoon.

help buttons
Can you put a help button (?) next to each button? It would help tremendously.
Also, put the order that work is to be completed at the top - left (before person). Every time I enter this program, I am at a bit of a loss on what to do next, in what order.

Button consistency
Under Results, the Error and Match buttons do not look like buttons, but the little letter icon to the far left does. The buttons should be more consistent.

File Layouts on Google+
I am assuming the file layouts posted last week are for the export files from our HR system. Can you also post on the website the file layout for the result file of WISEids we will be able to download?

Shared Staff between Districts
How are the staff IDs going to work between districts that share staff - such as substitute teachers and coaches? Will there be a database where we can look up these numbers? This will be a nightmare otherwise.
